Niall Horan might be in the Emirates this week supporting his players and friend Rory McIlroy, but he has news of his own international golf tournament as Modest! Golf confirmed they are back on board for this year’s Northern Ireland Open at Galgorm Castle.
I took my first foray back into this sort of competitive arena after playing in countless events at Boys and Youths and a sprinkling of championships a lifetime ago. It was the Irish Mid-Amateur Championship at a sodden Clandeboye venue and the goal was simple; don’t make a tit of yourself and try for two rounds in the 70s.
